Jeep Hair Ideas, Tips, and Solutions ( 5 ways to have Beautiful Jeep Hair)
I often get these questions about hair in windy situations:
"What works well for keeping your hair from getting all tangled when the top is off the jeep?"
Or
"What can keep my hair up without the headrest making it uncomfortable?"
Or
"What is the easiest way to have good hair in a convertible?"
Most people will immediately think of a scrunchie or the ponytail hat, but I want to provide you with some other options that have much more variety, not only in design, but for different lengths and texture of hair.
5 Ways to have beautiful Jeep Hair.
1. FLEXICLIP
The flexiclip is a wonderful option. I usually say you get the comfort of a scrunchie with the beauty of a barrette, but really, since the flexiclip is flexible and comes in 7 sizes, it is able to hold more securely than a scrunchie. Super fine to super thick, the flexiclip is able to hold your hair securely without having to pull your hair tight, and this can relieve headaches associated with some hairstyles. The size is what determines how much hair can be held. Since the attached pin slides back and forth, it is easy to use and won't get stuck in your hair, so no more of these situations:
I took my time getting this undone so that no hair was lost. The result was that I gained a new customer. She bought several flexiclips and vowed to never use the hairbands again. How many times has this happened to you?
I love to let my hair fly in the wind, and I keep a detangler or spray bottle with watered down conditioner and a pick in my Jeep.
For those times where I can't let my hair fly in the wind, but still want the top off the Jeep, there are several Flexiclip hairstyles that work well.

2. BOBBIE PINS
Bobbie pins work if they are super strong like these. I love how bold these look. It is possible to have incredible hold with just 2 bobbie pins.
These bobbie pins have 3 grill styles available, TJ, YJ, and Jk.

3. SWERVE OR DECORATIVE SWERVE
This decorative swerve comes in two sizes depending on if you have super thick or long hair or if you have thinner hair. There are many styles to choose from, including plain ones that almost completely disappear in your hair and decorative ones like the one shown.
Here is a quick French twist video using a full size decorative swerve.
4. ADJUSTABLE HEADBANDS
Headbands that are flexible are a great choice of letting my hair fly but have some control, with an adjustable band that allows you to fit it to your head and hairstyle. These are not the hard plastic kind that give you headaches.
5. LEATHER 8s with a STICK
Leather 8s with your choice of stick is another option. There are so many ways to mix and match! One of the reasons I love Jeeps so much is because everyone can show their own personality with what they do with their jeeps. Because of the variety of options, Leather 8s and sticks are another way to show your own personality and style.

I am extremely grateful for the ones in my life who have taught me how to grow, stretch my comfort zone, laugh, and give me support. I am also thankful for a hair clip side gig that allows for many jeep trips, and it is the perfect way to contain the crazy jeep hair into beautiful hair.
